Everything you need to purchase for class, organized by dance style.

Our dress code helps dancers move safely, train effectively, and allows teachers to clearly see alignment, placement, posture, and technique. Below you'll find required attire, recommended styles, and shopping suggestions for each class type.

STUDIO STANDARDS

  • Label all shoes and belongings.

  • No jewelry beyond small stud earrings.

  • Bring a water bottle.

  • Dance shoes are for indoor studio use only. Please change out before leaving the studio.

  • Arrive dressed and ready for class whenever possible.

  • If you're unsure what to purchase, stop by the front desk before buying. We're happy to help.

  • Required Attire

    • Black leotard

    • Pink tights - Capezio 9 Classical Pink

    • Pink ballet shoes

      • Leather split-sole preferred for Levels 2 and lower

      • Pink canvas split-sole ballet shoes recommended for Levels 3+

    • Hair must be secured in a ballet bun for every ballet class.

    Optional Warm-Ups & Layers

    • Ballet sweater

    • Warm-up booties

    • Knit shorts

    • Short ballet skirt, pull-on preferred

  • Required Attire

    • Leotard or fitted dance top

    • Black shorts or leggings

    • No T-shirts

    • Jazz shoes for Jazz S0401

    • Turners (half soles) for Lyrical

    • Hair pulled back

  • Required Attire

    • Leotard or fitted top

    • Shorts or leggings

    • Tap shoes (no flex sole or slip-on)

      • Academy - Level1B: Bloch Merry Jane Tap Shoe S0352 Black

      • Level 2A+ Black laced oxford. Recommended styles:

        • Bloch Sync

        • Capezio Roxy

        • Bloch JSS

        • Capezio K360 (Advanced dancers)

    • Hair pulled back

  • Required Attire

    • Relaxed athletic wear

    • Clean indoor athletic shoes with laces - Shoes must be reserved for indoor studio use only.

    • No denim

    • Hair pulled back

    For our youngest dancers, comfort and independence matter. Choose shoes that are easy for your dancer to put on and take off.

    • Leotard or fitted top or crop top

    • Shorts or leggings

    • Barefoot

    • Hair pulled back

    • Dance shorts

    • Fitted tanks

    • Crop tops

    • Socks

    Avoid oversized clothing that makes spotting and alignment correction difficult.
