The thrill of a live performance is like nothing else… a powerful mix of energy, creativity, and artistry that will leave everyone feeling like a true legend. What makes it unforgettable, though, is the journey our students will take as they prepare.
From rehearsal to curtain call, this experience builds more than dance skills. As students collaborate, coordinate, and push toward a shared goal, they’ll gain confidence, poise, and teamwork that shine both on and off the stage. This isn’t just a recital. It’s a celebration of dedication, artistry, and empowerment.

Recitals Elevate Confidence
The thrill of live performance is unmatched! Our dancers not only showcase their skills but also overcome shyness and stage nerves, gaining confidence that shines on stage and off.
Recitals Foster Teamwork and Responsibility
Just like athletes have tournaments, dancers have recitals! In the months leading up to the show, students collaborate to learn choreography and formations, discovering that anything is possible when working together.
Recitals Create Magical Memories
Recital isn’t just a performance. It’s a celebration of hard work and achievement. With cheering families, keepsakes, and photos to remember the moment, dancers leave with memories that last a lifetime and a deeper love for dance.
Performance Package Fees
Applied: February 13, 2026
Charged automatically to your primary payment method: February 15, 2026
First routine: $145 (split as $50 + $95)
Each additional routine: $95
Opt-Out Deadline: Families who do not wish to participate in Recital 2026 must submit the Opt-Out Form by January 31, 2026.

Costume Information
Costume measurements happen during regular class time in February.
Costumes are age-appropriate, professionally selected, and non-refundable.
Costumes must be picked up by recital weekend. Any unclaimed costumes after July 1, 2026 will be donated.
Late orders (after March 2026) may incur extra shipping fees and are subject to availability.

VIP Dance
Registration Deadline: February 27, 2026
Step into the spotlight with your dancer at Recital 2026: Iconic – Legends in the Making. The VIP Dance (formerly Dad’s Dance) is open to all VIPs (parents, siblings, grandparents, and more) who want to share the stage in a high-energy, feel-good performance your dancer will never forget.
This is a favorite tradition and a powerful memory-maker for dancers and families alike. No dance experience required. Just a great attitude and a willingness to have fun.
The $75 participation fee includes a souvenir VIP shirt for the guest performer, a digital practice video to review the choreography at your own pace, and access to all VIP Dance rehearsals.
⚠️ Register the VIP participant’s name NOT the student they are dancing with. Example: If Mom is dancing with Ava, register Mom’s name below.
Important Information
Participating IDC student dancers must currently be in 1st–12th grade.
VIP participants will receive a digital practice video.
Rehearsals are optional but highly encouraged unless otherwise noted.
Saturday, May 16 is a Mandatory Spacing Rehearsal to prepare for recital weekend.
BONUS: VIPs receive special perks during Red Carpet Week, including a dedicated time window for professional photos and a chance to experience the stage with our technical team before showtime.

Preferred Admission: $23.25*
Director’s Seating: $38.75*
*All seating is reserved. A $2.80 service fee applies per ticket. Prices increase after May 21, 2026.
Ticket Sale Dates
Priority Sales: Tuesday, May 6, 2026
General Sales: Thursday, May 8, 2026
Tickets will be available through the studio website. Priority Sales are reserved for current studio account holders only. Orders from non-account holders will be voided.
To reduce site congestion, staggered sale times by show will be used (details coming soon). Each performance requires a separate purchase.

Maximum 5 tickets per dancer, per show during Priority Sales (May 6–7)
Additional tickets available during General Sales (May 8 onward)
Children under 2 may sit on a lap without a ticket

Studio accounts must be paid in full to purchase tickets.
ADA seating is available through the ticketing website.
All seating is reserved and assigned on a first-come, best-available basis.
After purchase, confirmation emails will include e-tickets. No physical tickets needed. Present on a mobile device at the venue entrance..
Red Carpet Weeks
Cypress Location: May 4–8
Los Alamitos Location: May 11–16
Red Carpet Week is a key part of the recital experience, giving dancers the opportunity to rehearse in full costume, build confidence, and prepare for the stage.
What Happens During Red Carpet Week
In-Studio Dress Rehearsals: Students rehearse their routines in costume with their peers.
Performance Practice: Dancers practice stage entrances, exits, and performing together as a group.
Professional Photos: Both group and individual photos are taken to capture this special moment before the recital.
Note: Non-performing classes may have adjusted schedules during Red Carpet Week.

Detailed instructions, including arrival times and photo guidelines, will be shared closer to the event.
Dress Rehearsals (June 2–4)
Location: Kennedy Performing Arts Center
Time: After-school hours
Dress rehearsals are an essential part of Recital 2026: Iconic – Legends in the Making. During these sessions, dancers will:
Rehearse in full costume
Practice on-stage spacing and choreography
Work with our production team on lighting, music cues, and backstage flow
These rehearsals ensure that each performance runs smoothly, confidently, and safely.
A detailed schedule will be shared soon. Thank you for supporting your dancer through this important part of the recital process. It truly makes all the difference.

Each performance features a unique cast and class lineup. Most classes will perform in one show, though some dancers may be invited to appear in multiple performances. We work carefully to create the most condensed and family-friendly schedule possible.
