Our Student and Instructional Assistants are vital to Impact Dance Center, representing our studio as both dancers and staff members. They significantly contribute to the success of our classes. Selected for their maturity, dance proficiency, and role model qualities, assistants play a crucial role in enhancing our dance education. Participation in this program not only supports the studio's success but also provides valuable training and experience for future roles in education.

Who Can Join?
Students in grades 3 or 4, training at level 1B or higher, who are enthusiastic and eager to help.What Will You Do?
Assist with classroom logistics by demonstrating skills and helping students line up. Model good behavior and focus, support teachers with setup and cleanup, and contribute to a positive learning environment.What Will You Learn?
Receive an introduction to teaching roles, develop basic leadership and responsibility skills, and become an active member of our dance community.Commitment: 1 hour per week

Who Can Join?
Students in grades 5-12, training at level 2A or higher, who are dedicated to supporting younger or less experienced students and eager to learn about teaching.What Will You Do?
Assist with class logistics by demonstrating skills and guiding students through routines. Model good behavior, help with classroom setup and cleanup, and develop foundational knowledge in dance pedagogy, including classroom management and curriculum progressions.What Will You Learn?
Explore teaching fundamentals, build leadership and responsibility skills, and gain practical experience for advanced roles.Commitment: 1-2 hours per week

Who Can Join?
Students who have completed at least three years as Lead Student Assistants and are ready for advanced responsibilities, typically in grades 11-12. *By invitation only.What Will You Do?
Take on advanced roles in classroom management, provide guidance during classes, support both students and teachers, and help with class planning and curriculum development. Mentor newer assistants and contribute to a positive learning environment.What Will You Learn?
Deepen your understanding of advanced dance pedagogy, including curriculum design and student engagement. Strengthen leadership skills and prepare for future teaching roles.Commitment: 2-5 hours per week

Who Can Join?
Current or former students with extensive experience and exceptional skills ready for a leadership-focused role.What Will You Do?
Collaborate with lead instructors to monitor student progress, assist with lesson plans, and ensure a smooth flow of instruction. Foster an inclusive learning environment, help with behavior management, support record-keeping, and provide instruction in the event of an instructor's absence.What Will You Learn?
Advanced teaching techniques, curriculum planning, and effective student feedback. Enhance leadership and organizational skills, and gain practical experience in maintaining high standards of artistic excellence.Commitment: 4-12 hours per week
