Performances at Winter Fantasy 2024
We’re excited to present Impact Dance Center’s 2024 invitational production, Swingin’ at Club Sweets: Nutcracker Untapped! This year, we’re reviving Sugar Rum Cherry, Clara, and all your favorite roles from our Nutcracker-themed tap performances. It’s a fantastic chance for our dancers to refine their technique, showcase their skills, and create lasting memories.
Our tap production involves a mix of selected roles and ensemble participation. Rehearsals and choreography are integrated into your dancer’s regular tap classes, with additional dedicated sessions as needed.
All cast members will also participate in an all-cast photo day, studio rehearsal, and theater dress rehearsal. Details below.
We look forward to a spectacular performance and sharing the magic of Club Sweets with you and your family!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Revisiting roles in a repertory piece like Club Sweets is an essential part of tap training and is common in both amateur and professional dance training and performance. Each time a dancer performs the same role, they have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the choreography, explore character nuances, and approach the role with greater skill and confidence.
Repeating a role allows dancers to refine their technique, take more artistic risks, and recognize their growth. Even though the role may be familiar, each performance becomes a new experience, helping them connect more deeply with the choreography and enhance their overall performance.
-
If your dancer is enrolled in multiple Club Sweets' tap classes, they may have the opportunity to perform in more than one role. However, this will depend on their role assignments and the logistics of the production schedule. If any roles overlap or conflict, the production director will make the final decision on which role your dancer will perform to ensure smooth transitions and a seamless performance
-

Please notify us via email at office@impactdancecenter.com before Octboer 14th if you will not be participating in the performance.
