Looking for a fun, creative project to brighten your day? This DIY Paper Sparkler craft is the perfect activity for kids and adults alike. Simple, colorful, and a little sparkly (if you choose), these paper sparklers are a fantastic way to celebrate any occasion—or just add a little POP to your day!

Gather your supplies, roll up your sleeves, and get ready to craft something fun together.

What You’ll Need:

Blank Paper
Crayons or Markers
Tape
Scissors
Helping Hands
Glitter (optional, but oh-so-sparkly!)

Step-by-Step Tutorial

Step 1:
Add as MUCH color to a sheet of blank paper as you possibly can! Grab your crayons or markers and let your creativity shine. Fill every inch with bold, vibrant colors, patterns, or doodles.

Step 2:
Fold the colorful paper in half, hamburger style. (That’s the short edge to short edge—easy peasy!)

Step 3:
Ask your helper (a grown-up) to carefully cut the folded paper in half, then into smaller strips. These strips will become your sparkler’s “rays.”

Step 4:
Fold the colorful paper strips in half. The fold creates the base for your sparkler’s pop!

Step 5:
Using tape, attach the blank side of each strip to a new sheet of blank paper. Arrange the strips in a circle to form a starburst pattern. Stack the strips for a layered, dimensional look.

Step 6:
Want even more POP? Add another layer of sparklers! Pinch the paper strips together slightly to give your creation an extra festive flair.

Step 7:
Time to make it shine! Add glitter specks and trails around your sparkler for a dazzling finishing touch.
